Q. Where is Kulnura?
A. Kulnura is about one hour north of Sydney/ from the beginning of the F3 at Wahroonga and a little over one hour to Newcastle, 35 mins to West Gosford.

Q. What is mobile phone reception like?
A. The best spot for reception is out on the turning circle in front of the house as the phone towers out on the coast are visible and therefore a direct line.
Depending on your individual phone and provider most guests have reception in the house.
A complimentary landline phone is connected to the house for outgoing local calls only and internet connection. Any calls incoming of course.

Q. Is there undercover parking ?
A. There is a separate double roller doored garage with laundry and outside
toilet attached and of course the carport at the main entrance to the house which is predominately the parking of choice for most couples since it has sensor lights for returning to the Retreat after dark.

Q. How many guests can Forest Park accommodate?
A. Forest Park is a 4.5 Star two bedroom accommodation with all the facilities to ensure the comfort and expectations are met for two couples.
For the convenience of our guests we can make up a comfortable doublesofa bed for a third couple in the western sunroom.

Q. What is the check-in procedure?
A. Email or phone contact will be made by us one week prior to arrival to seek instructions for the payment for the balance of the tariff and a rough estimated time of arrival will be asked of you along with dietary requirements / preferences.
As we are on a working farm and live just up the road we usually request that Guests ring us on our mobile when they get onto the F3 to allow both you and us more flexibility. We like to be there to meet & greet and show you around to make sure you have all the knowledge you need for a wonderful stay.

Q. How far is it to the nearest beach?
A. The beautiful Central Coast Beaches are only 40mins away to Shelley Beach; The Entrance, Forrester’s Beach, Wamberal, Avoca Beach are all under the hour.

Q. Where can we eat?
A. Forest Park is a self catered B&B. If you choose to stay in and cook of course you can bring food with you but if you can’t face up to grocery shopping whilst trying to get away from the city for your holiday break why not order ahead for a DINNER HAMPER from one of our participating cafes to be waiting for your arrival at Forest Park.

There is a country restaurant only 5 mins from your gate if you turn right at the end of Forest Road and proceed down Bumble Hill to “Yarramalong Manor “ to the right 200metres for lunch or dinner.

“The Oak Pizzeria” Peats Ridge Village you pass coming in from Sydney.

“The Corregated Café” delicious breakfasts and lunches, Peats Ridge Village. Open 7 days 6am – 5pm

“Kulnura One Stop” Jerry’s Gourmet Food 7 – 6.30pm, take away

Mangrove RSL (golf club) and Country Club (big bottle) Chinese food

“Macadamia Farm” and Café – Yarramalong , morning to afternoon

Tuggerah Westfields Restaurants are only half an hour away.

Countless restaurants from Gosford (30 mins) along the coast.

Q. What TV stations are available to view?
A. Digital reception out of Newcastle. ABC1, ABC2, SBS, NBN, Prime Newcastle, Southern Cross Television.

Q Why don’t you cater for children?
A.As parents of four adult children we have a good eye for safety.
The very features that make up this wonderful property established by out two late bachelor Uncles are not child friendly. They are however a major part of the ambience that gives this place such a special relaxed feel of bygone days eg. Stunning rock formations
Parents need to be able to relax but this property would need constant vigilance so where would be the holiday in that?

Q. What shuttle transport services are available from railway or airport?

Q. Where is the closest shop for food basics?
A. Yarramalong General Store is 5 minutes drive. Kulnura General Store 10 minutes but for a more comprehensive shop IGA is at Mangrove Mountain
Tuggerah Westfield is 30 minutes with full facilities.
